President Jonathan Visits Nyanya Bomb Blast Scene, Victims At The Hospital [See Photos]

The president has cancelled his scheduled trip to Ibadan this morning to visit the Nyanya bomb blast scene. He was there with the senate president and also visited victims at Asokoro hospital, urging medical practitioners to do everything possible in their care to save the lives of the victims.

Over 100 people died during the blast and 124 injured.

A car bomb planted in a Volkswagen Golf car exploded at a crowded bus station in Nyanya, a suburb of Nigeria’s capital Abuja today. Eighteen-time Italian champions Internazionale are ready to stump £10m (about N2.7 billion) for Nigeria international midfielder, John Obi Mikel. The British media reported last week that Internazionale president, Erick Thohir flew to London to watch Chelsea’s Uefa Champions League quarterfinal match against PSG at Stamford Bridge to monitor Mikel and a host of other Blues players.
