Onazi Dedicates Goal To Bomb Blast Victims
Nigeria international midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi has taken the time to dedicate the goal he scored for SS Lazio against Napoli in Serie A on Sunday to the victims of the explosions that took place in Nyanya, Abuja on Monday morning.
The blasts, which took place at a bus station, claimed the lives of many persons and left others seriously injured and in urgent need of blood transfusion.
Onazi was saddened by the development and took to Twitter to express his emotions.
“I dedicate my goal to the victims of the blast in Abuja this morning. May God grant their families the grace to handle it all,” he tweeted on his account. see tweet below:
Sunday’s goal was Onazi’s first in Serie A this term and he also took the time to thank all who congratulated him for his effort against the Partenopei.
“Thank you all for your love and messages, especially after the game yesterday,” he concluded.
Onazi has made 27 league appearances for Lazio this term.
