A car bomb planted in a Volkswagen Golf car exploded at a crowded bus station in Nyanya, a suburb of Nigeria’s capital Abuja today. The early morning bombing killed at least 71 people with over 500 people injured. Some passers-by also sustained different degrees of injuries. Earlier before the bomb blast, the bubbly Nyanya Motor Park, was crowded with workers and people waiting to board vehicles to their different places of work and offices in Abuja. Fernandes will join United following an extended period of negotiations and is due to become the club’s first, and perhaps only, January signing. The midfielder will head to Old Trafford as part of a deal worth an initial €55 million (£47m/$60m). MANCHESTER UNITED WILL PAY MORE United could pay up to €80m (£68m/$88m) for the Portuguese star due to a number of additional clauses that have been agreed to by the two parties. Man U promised Bruno €5m based on United’s Champions League participation and another €15m related to individual awards. Eighteen-time Italian champions Internazionale are ready to stump £10m (about N2.7 billion) for Nigeria international midfielder, John Obi Mikel. The British media reported last week that Internazionale president, Erick Thohir flew to London to watch Chelsea’s Uefa Champions League quarterfinal match against PSG at Stamford Bridge to monitor Mikel and a host of other Blues players.
