[BOKO HARAM] Legendary Sports Broadcaster In Nigeria Is Dead (Photo)

So Sad! Veteran sports broadcaster Mr Walter Oyatogun is dead. He died over the weekend after a long battle with his health due to the stroke he suffered from few years ago.
His daughter, Moyo Oyatogun who is a broadcaster at Star Fm, Lagos has released a press statement on behalf of the Oyatogun Family;

With deep hearts, we the family of Oyatogun, announce the death of our loving father, husband, grandfather and friend, Walter Oyatogun, a sport man, boxer and a wonderful person. A man that has held the sport world for a very long time and also trained so many athletes. Truly you have created an impact in our lives and you will always be in our hearts.

The Senate in Abuja on Thursday passed a bill that will legally protect persons with disability from discrimination. Sponsored by Sen. Nurudeen Abatemi-Usman (PDP-Kogi), the bill seeks to integrate such persons into the society and establish a commission for persons with disability. The bill, titled ‘Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Bill, 2014′, prescribes a fine of N1m for corporate bodies and N100,000 or six months imprisonment or both for an individual who contravenes the law. Sen. Adamu Gumba (PDP-Bauchi) presented the report of the Senate Joint Committee on Sports, Social Development and Women Affairs on the bill. Child-bride, Wasila Umar, accused of killing her husband and three of his friends while injuring many others after she served them poisoned food, in Kano, says she regrets her action. “Mine was a classical example of youthful exuberance; it dawned on me shortly after that it was a joke taken too far to resolve a forced marriage question”, Wasila, 14, said.
