Hazard hat-trick sees Chelsea go top

Eden Hazard scored a hat-trick to send Chelsea to the top of the Premier League with victory against Newcastle.
Hazard, magnificent in Monday’s 1-0 win at Manchester City, was in inspired form throughout and drove in the opener from Branislav Ivanovic’s pass. Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko was denied one-on-one by Petr Cech, before Hazard finished off a fine sweeping move. Hazard got his third in the second half, scoring from the penalty spot after Samuel Eto’o was fouled.

A car bomb planted in a Volkswagen Golf car exploded at a crowded bus station in Nyanya, a suburb of Nigeria’s capital Abuja today. Eighteen-time Italian champions Internazionale are ready to stump £10m (about N2.7 billion) for Nigeria international midfielder, John Obi Mikel. The British media reported last week that Internazionale president, Erick Thohir flew to London to watch Chelsea’s Uefa Champions League quarterfinal match against PSG at Stamford Bridge to monitor Mikel and a host of other Blues players.
