Photos: Meet Freddy, The World’s Second Tallest Dog At 7ft 1″

Freddy is currently just three inches short of the world record for the tallest dog, which is currently held by Zeus, another Great Dane from Michigan in the US.
To feed his growth spurt, Freddy consumes dog food worth £75 a week. He is also partial to the occasional whole roast chicken or some peanut butter on toast as a treat. Unfortunately, as a puppy he also had a taste for sofas – and demolished 14 before realising quite how comfortable they are.

A car bomb planted in a Volkswagen Golf car exploded at a crowded bus station in Nyanya, a suburb of Nigeria’s capital Abuja today. The early morning bombing killed at least 71 people with over 500 people injured. Some passers-by also sustained different degrees of injuries. Earlier before the bomb blast, the bubbly Nyanya Motor Park, was crowded with workers and people waiting to board vehicles to their different places of work and offices in Abuja. Eighteen-time Italian champions Internazionale are ready to stump £10m (about N2.7 billion) for Nigeria international midfielder, John Obi Mikel. The British media reported last week that Internazionale president, Erick Thohir flew to London to watch Chelsea’s Uefa Champions League quarterfinal match against PSG at Stamford Bridge to monitor Mikel and a host of other Blues players.
